Spanish champions Barcelona agreed to loan Alen Halilović to Sporting Gijon for the upcoming season.

Alen Halilović, young Croatian international under a five-year contract with Barcelona, will play for Sporting Gijon on loan until next summer.

Last summer, 19-year-old Halilović joined Barcelona from Dinamo Zagreb, where he made his senior debut in 2012.

Halilović already has seven caps for Croatia, making his first appearance in June 2013 against Portugal.

Sporting Gijon was promoted to Primera as the Segunda runner-up, and will present the Croatian midfielder on Saturday, after his first training session with the new teammates.
