New Croatia head coach Ante Čačić held a press conference upon his appointment, announcing the squad list for the upcoming European Qualifiers.

Ante Čačić took over Croatia reins ahead of the remaining two European Qualifiers, against Bulgaria at home and away to Malta. On Tuesday, he announced the squad list for both matches.

"I would like to thank the Croatian Football Federation and president Davor Šuker for their trust. I am honoured, Croatian national team is much more than football, and this generation is extremely talented. They are Croatia's national pride. My motivation is huge, and national team goals are clear. We have to reach EURO 2016 in France, and I'll do my best to achieve that, with all my heart", said Čačić.

Croatia awaits the final two qualifiers behind Italy and Norway, but Čačić believes in success.

"The road to France is mostly done, thanks to Niko Kovač. The public and the fans should not fear for Croatia, I would not take this job without belief. I call for support, it is much easier to fight for Croatia when Croatia stands by us. Croatian football requires more respect", he added.

Čačić also answered media representatives' question on individual players.

"If Eduardo Alves da Silva draws attention to himself, I'll be glad to call him up. Pivarić continuously shows quality performances in Dinamo and plays in top form, while Čop gives his contribution to Malaga, with Olić suspended against Bulgaria and Mandžukić being slightly injured".

"I believe in honesty and value of our players. They are our guarantee for EURO in France, and together we have to work on the atmosphere we exist in", concluded Čačić.
