Due to knee injury, Croatia captain Luka Modrić will have to miss out on European qualifiers away to Kosovo and Finland.

Real Madrid midfielder and Croatia national team captain Luka Modrić will not be available for Ante Čačić's selection for Kosovo (6 October) and Finland (9 October) encounters in European qualifiers for 2018 FIFA World Cup due to knee injury.

Croatia national team medical staff has been in contact with Real Madrid medical staff, to determine the treatment of the both teams' key player's injury.

Instead of Luka Modrić, head coach Ante Čačić has decided to call up Croatia U-21 international Marko Rog.
