Bad news continue to flow ahead of Croatia's European qualifiers against Kosovo and Finland. Vice-captain Ivan Rakitić will also miss out.

Ivan Rakitić did not appear in Barcelona's away league match at Celta Vigo due to achilles tendon injury, the injury that will keep him out from international duty with Croatia as well, away to Kosovo (6 October) and Finland (9 October). Rakitić's recovery is expected in ten days.

Barcelona midfielder joins Luka Modrić and Dejan Lovren on Croatia's injury list.

Dinamo midfielder and captain Domagoj Antolić has been called up to replace Rakitić, while Marko Rog and Matej Mitrović have been called up earlier to replace Modrić and Lovren.
