Ante Čačić, Croatia head coach, and Mario Mandžukić, a hat-trick hero against Kosovo, commented on the match.

Croatia national team did an excellent job in Shkoder and defeated hosts Kosovo 6:0 to claim the top spot of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying Group I after the second round of matches.

"I am satisfied since we have done what we came to do. We've confirmed our role of favourites on the pitch, controlled the match from the start and scored six goals to win three points. I congratulate Kosovo, who played a fair-play match, and I have been warning my players this could be a difficult job. Kosovo had some chances when they were just a goal down, and who knows what could have happened if they equalized. However, efficient Croatia is to 'blame' for this result, I am convinced that no other team will beat Kosovo in this manner", said Croatia head coach Ante Čačić.

"This was a really good performance from Croatia. People could enjoy watching us, even though I have some spotted some weaknesses. We've played in accordance with our quality, and I am pleased that Mandžukić scored three. I have believed in him, and he responded great, while his determination was never in question. He gives his contribution regardless of his scoring. Now there is no time to celebrate, since we play Finland on Sunday", he added.

Croatia first-half hat-trick hero Mario Mandžukić emphasized the importance of the national team's approach towards the game.

"The key was to start on the highest level, from the very first minute. We knew this will be a tough match, yet we are a serious team, and the final outcome proves that. Considering my goals, I have never doubted myself, and in the end the most important thing is Croatia winning".
