Croatia national football team head coach Ante Čačić shared his expectations for the upcoming encounter with hosts China at China Cup.

At China Cup in Nanning, Croatia's preparations for the third place match with China are under way.

"We have to make sure that all our players get their chance, but we also want to get back home winning the match. I am happy to play the hosts, even though it's a shame we didn't meet in the final. Moreover, I am very happy about Croatia's approach at China Cup, considering the long journey, time difference, and rare training sessions. My players have passionately defended the national team colours. I am convinced they will do the same against China, they will give their best, and I believe we will be satisfied once again", said Croatia head coach Ante Čačić speaking to hns-cff.hr.

On Friday, Čačić met with China manager Marcello Lippi, Italian coaching legend. They have exchanged opinions on China Cup, while Lippi explained the life, career, and football in China. He especially praised Croatia's performances at the EURO 2016 in France.
