Croatian Football Federation confirms the Croatia - Mexico friendly international in May 2017.

Croatia national football team and numerous Croats in North America await a true football spectacle. On 27 May, Croatia will face Mexico in a friendly international in Los Angeles, at legendary Memorial Coliseum. Kick-off is scheduled at 16:30 local time.

This friendly enters history books as Croatia's first appearance in North America, following the appearances in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and South America.

Mexico currently holds the No. 17 at FIFA Rankings, just below Croatia, and the two teams have already met on four occasions. Croatia was victorious in two '90s friendlies, and Mexico managed to win both World Cup encounters - in 2002 in Japan (1:0) and in 2014 in Brazil (3:1).

Moreover, Mexico will continue its 15. USA Tour on 1 June against the Republic of Ireland in New York. The Mexicans frequently visit Los Angeles - and 88.000 crowd at Memorial Coliseum watched their last match in March 2015 against Ecuador.

Following the friendly, Croatia and Mexico move on to further challenges in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying. The Vatreni visit Iceland on 11 June, while the Mexicans take on Honduras and USA.
