Croatia head coach Ante Čačić has commented on the serious injury Marko Pjaca sustained during the international friendly with Estonia.

Head coach Čačić has sent a message of support to 21-year old Croatia international, following the MRI scan that confirmed the tear of his anterior cruciate ligament.

"We are extremely sorry that Marko sustained such a serious injury. All of us have been very emotional in these difficult times for him. Unfortunately, the injuries are a part of sport, and the quality of champions is to find the inner strength to return even stronger".

"Marko is a champion, and I am convinced that he will invest maximum effort to return at his best level of performance. Everyone around him will provide support, from his family and friends to the club and national teammates, as well as his club coach Allegri and myself as the national team head coach. I sincerely wish him a speedy and successful recovery", said Čačić.
