On Friday, Croatia head coach Ante Čačić confirmed that Danijel Subašić will not be able to participate in the Reykjavik qualifier.

Croatia's list of injured players has been extended - Monaco goalkeeper Danijel Subašić will not play due to Achilles tendon injury. Therefore, alongside Subašić, head coach Ante Čačić cannot count on Rakitić, Ćorluka, Vrsaljko, Kramarić, and Pjaca.

"We've had players missing due to injury in every single match, and we have always managed to find a solution within our ranks and I do not want to emphasize these injuries. We wish them all a speedy recovery, and we have enough quality players for every task. I have no doubt we will start this match against Iceland in high spirits. I'll decide on the starting lineup after the last training session", said Čačić.
