Croatian Football Federation president Davor Šuker sent a clear message of support following the Iceland qualifier in Reykjavik.

With four wins and a draw in the first five matches, Croatia visited Iceland in the World Cup qualifier, and eventually lost 1:0 to a late Magnusson goal.

Davor Šuker, the president of Croatian Football Federation, is confident that the Vatreni can still achieve their objective and secure World Cup berth:

"I can blame no one. On the contrary, I am proud of our players and our coaching staff. I want to thank them for everything that was done in the first half of qualifying campaign. We are still top of the group, we still have the best team and have everything in our hands. I am convinced that we shall reach Russia in 2018. Keep your heads up".
