The readers of the popular Spanish newspapers Marca have selected Luka Modrić in the all-time Real Madrid team.

The all-time Real Madrid lineup was selected on the eve of Saturday's El Clasico, with Luka Modrić and Mateo Kovačić ready to face Ivan Rakitić.

This team includes players from several triumphant Real Madrid eras: the goalkeeper Casillas, defenders Roberto Carlos, Hierro, and Ramos, midfielders Modrić, Zidane, Redondo, and Michel, and forwards Ronaldo, Raul, and Di Stefano.

Zidane was also honoured as the best coach, and considering the respectable midfielder names of Real Madrid history, this confirms Croatia captain's status of a club icon at Santiago Bernabeu.
