On Monday, Croatia national football team returned home from the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia to a heroes' welcome.

This summer in Russia, the Vatreni have overcome six obstacles (Nigeria, Argentina, Iceland, Denmark, Russia, and England) to reach the 2018 FIFA World Cup Final, only to be stopped by France, who claimed their second title.

By taking the silver, Zlatko Dalić's men have rewritten Croatian sports history, achieving the biggest success in football.

Po slijetanju u Zagreb, dočekale su ih stotine tisuće navijača te ih pratili cijelim putem, a središnja proslava odvija se na prepunom Trgu bana Josipa Jelačića.

Following the landing in Zagreb, hundreds of thousands of supporters have welcomed their heroes, with the main celebration taking place at the Croatian capital's main square.

"There are no words to describe this", summarized Ivan Perišić. "Our dreams came true", added Luka Modrić.

"I have no appropriate words of gratitude for what you've done. You have seen that we gave everything we had at the World Cup, that we wore Croatia's shirt with pride, and you were the best supporters in the world", concluded Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalić.
