On Monday, Croatia national team meets to face England and Jordan, with head coach Zlatko Dalić holding a press conference.

Injuries and positions

"Brozović had to miss Inter's league match and we have to check up on him. Barišić has a ruptured muscle and is probably out, while Santini is also slightly injured. Vrsaljko managed to play on Sunday, but we have to see how his knee reacts. Perhaps he will need rest and recovery. There is an option to put Vida or Jedvaj at right-back, and we haven't written Rog off. Lovre Kalinić had an MRI, and if necessary, we will call-up Sluga from Rijeka and another player. Rebić is an option to play striker, he will get a chance against England as he brings speed and aggressive approach, just like Mandžukić did"

England in the UEFA Nations League

"It's difficult after this defeat in Spain, but these things happen. We have to leave a better impression against England, all the while selecting players for the European Qualifiers. Everybody has problems, every manager is searching for new solutions, and we have to stay focused on March 2019 and the beginning of the EURO 2020 qualifying round. England has its own issues, a couple of new players, and they also want a better result than against Spain. We also have to accept playing behind closed doors, and this is tiresome to both teams, especially after the magnificent semifinals in Russia. England has pace, youth, ambition, a bright future, and Croatia will have a tough time in Rijeka"
