Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalić held a press conference regarding the upcoming UEFA Nations League encounters with Spain and England.

"Croatia expects two tough, important, and attractive matches. I particularly look forward to the Spain encounter, a competitive match in front of our full crowd. Let's all keep this summer's unity and witness a good Croatia's performance and an important victory, to have the opportunity to play at Wembley for the top spot. Moreover, we want to be among the top seeds for the European qualifiers. I believe we are in a better shape than in September in Elche - this loss has to be forgotten, as we await an entirely different match. Croatia has to keep possession and be careful of quick Spanish moves. We do not seek revenge, but we do believe in both victories"

"However, we need to check all the players. We require new energy and count on many youngsters. Unfortunately, Pivarić, Barišić, Sosa, Strinić, and Leovac all have to miss out and we have to find a left-back solution. There will be no issues with Vrsaljko, Lovren is full of confidence and at a top-class level when playing for Croatia, Lovre Kalinić has recovered - but Livaković is also doing great. Captain Modrić is aware that ups and downs in football are perfectly normal, and I have no doubt that he will perform as the leader once again. Of course we depend on him, he's the best player in the world"
