On Sunday, Croatia was among the top seeds at the EURO 2020 Qualifying Draw, and head coach Zlatko Dalić shared his views on the outcome.

EURO 2020 Qualifying Draw was held in Dublin, with all 55 UEFA members taking part. Croatia became the top seed of Group E, and awaits clashes with Wales, Slovakia, Hungary, and Azerbaijan on the road towards the final tournament. The top two positions will secure the ticket.

"Croatia's objective is to reach the final tournament, regardless of the opposition. It's not easy, it's not tough. On paper, Wales is ranked as our main rival, but we must not underestimate any team. We have to be at our top level during this qualifying campaign. Ryan Giggs has praised us for performances at the World Cup and called us favourites, yet we agree that this will be a real challenge for all of us. Furthermore, both Slovakia and Hungary have reached the second stage at EURO 2016. We have to believe in ourselves and our quality, we are still the World Cup runners-up, and everybody wants to defeat us. Nevertheless, we have to be among the top two in this group", said Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalić.
