Zlatko Dalić, Croatia head coach, and forward Ivan Perišić shared their views on the brilliant 4:0 victory over Slovakia.

Zlatko Dalić

"This was a high-level performance from the first until the last minute. Croatia was dominant, motivated, and aggressive, full of good ideas. We have managed to stop Slovakia's midfield, leaving their centre-backs to direct their plays, and this was the key solution. I am not surprised by Croatia's performance, I am aware what this team can do. This was one of the best performances since I have taken over - maybe even the best one. Now we have to stay humble, and await the visit to Azerbaijan with dignity. This must not be an isolated flash"

Ivan Perišić

"I believe this performance was better than any Croatia's performance at the World Cup in Russia. We could have scored whenever we had possession. The approach is the most important aspect. Every Croatia player gave a contribution, including the youngsters. The senior players have to help them adapt, the sooner, the better. This was probably a crucial win in EURO 2020 qualifying, but now we have to beat Azerbaijan on Monday. I hope we can qualify as soon as possible"
