Croatia national football team will play unusual three matches during the October international break, and head coach Zlatko Dalić has called-up 26 players.

As an introduction to more UEFA Nations League challenges, Croatia will visit Switzerland on 7 October, to play an obligatory friendly match, in St. Gallen.

Upon the return from Switzerland, Croatia hosts Sweden on 11 October, and three days later hosts world champions France, with both matches to be played in Zagreb.

Team captain Luka Modrić returns following the September absence, and Lille defender Domagoj Bradarić receives his first call-up. Marko Rog also returns to the squad, while Ante Budimir, Antonio Mirko Čolak, Filip Uremović, and Ivo Grbić are back after receiving first call-up in September.

Lovre Kalinić, Mile Škorić, Mislav Oršić, Mijo Caktaš, and Kristijan Lovrić are on stand-by.

"Should some of the called-up players become ill or injured, we have focused on stand-by players from Croatia First Division, with quality football on display - and we respect that. Škorić, Oršić, Caktaš, and Lovrić are top players from top teams in Croatia, and they deserve to be on the list", explained Dalić.

Croatia will meet on 5 October in St. Gallen.
