The celebration marked a significant milestone in the history of the Hungarian Football Federation, and Croatia was represented by HNS President Marijan Kustić and Honorary President Branko Mikša.
“We are pleased to join this wonderful celebration of the great anniversary of the Hungarian Football Federation, a federation with which we have had excellent and friendly relations for many years. It goes without saying how remarkable the achievements and importance of Hungarian football have been throughout history - some of their players are true legends not only in European but in world football. Therefore, we sincerely congratulate the entire Hungarian football family on these successful 125 years, and we will continue to nurture the excellent relations between our two federations,” said Kustić.
In addition to the hosts - including Sándor Csányi, President of the Hungarian Football Federation, and Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary - the ceremony was attended by numerous football and societal dignitaries, including FIFA President Gianni Infantino and UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin.
