Croatia midfielder Ivo Iličević was ruled out for the World Cup, while Domagoj Vida's injury was confirmed not serious.

Niko Kovač, Croatia head coach, decided not to take HSV midfielder Ivo Iličević to the training camp in Bad Tatzmannsdorf. His injury problems proved decisive.

"I have informed Iličević about my decision and I am sorry he is not coming with us to Austria. The most important thing now is for Iličević to get ready for the next season and avoid occasional injury problems", explained Kovač.

Dynamo Kiev defender Domagoj Vida passed his medical at Sv. Katarina hospital. Vida will have to take a couple of days' break to recover from a muscle injury.

Kovač will take 27 players to Austria, since Luka Modrić and Niko Kranjčar will join later, due to their clubs playing the Champions League final (Real Madrid) and Premiership play-offs (QPR).
