Croatian Football Federation president Davor Šuker visited the national team camp in Bad Tatzmannsdorf, Austria.

Davor Šuker, Golden Boot winner at 1998 FIFA World Cup in France and the current president of the Croatian Football Federation, met with the national team players and staff in Austria, wishing them the very best of luck for the forthcoming World Cup in Brazil.

"I am delighted to be here. My impressions are excellent, especially after talking to the head coach Niko Kovač. As a former player, I can see a great atmosphere and I can recognize hard work. We are building the foundations for the World Cup matches", said Šuker.

"I hope that there will be no more injuries and I feel the coach Kovač has a lot of quality options to choose from. We will feel no pressure, we are going to celebrate football in Brazil", he continued.

Croatia will play two more friendly matches, against Mali and Australia, and then open World Cup on 12th June in Sao Paulo against Brazil.

"Osijek will surely organize a beautiful farewell for the national team, we expect a superb match against Mali, at the same time helping the flood victims in the region. Brazil is the favourite to win the World Cup, but I hope we will also play an important role in that group", said Šuker.
