Striker Eduardo Alves da Silva will continue his club career in his native Brazil, wearing Flamengo shirt.

On Thursday, Rio de Janeiro side Flamengo completed the signing of 31-year-old Eduardo Alves da Silva. His contract with Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk expired this summer.

Flamengo and Eduardo agreed a contract until December 2015, with the player joining his new teammates in a couple of days.

Two days ago, Eduardo Alves da Silva retired from the Croatian national football team.
