Due to an abdominal injury, Dejan Lovren will miss Croatia's European qualifiers against Bulgaria and Azerbaijan.

During Wednesday practice, Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren felt pain in abdominal area and was examined by Igor Borić at Sv. Katarina Hospital. This abdominal injury rules him out of matches in Sofia and Osijek.

Croatia head coach Niko Kovač immediately called-up Gordon Schildenfeld of Panathinaikos, who joined his teammates in Zagreb and travels to Sofia with the rest of the squad.
