At the end of the current season, Croatia international Gordon Schildenfeld will return to GNK Dinamo Zagreb.

30-year-old Croatia international defender Gordon Schildenfeld will end his Panathinaikos adventure this summer.

A free transfer was agreed back to Dinamo, where Schildenfeld played during the 2006/07 and 2007/08 season, with 36 appearances and two goals to his name. Schildenfeld will sign a three-year contract with Dinamo.

Schildenfeld was capped 22 times for Croatia, and he scored his first international goal in the recent European qualifier against Norway at his former and future home, Maksimir Stadium.

His club career started in his native Šibenik, and after leaving Dinamo he played for Besiktas, Duisburg, Sturm Graz, Eintracht Frankfurt, Dynamo Moscow and Greek sides PAOK and Panathinaikos.
